About The Owner

I am Carol A. Baugh, the owner and manager of Ashridge Labradors. I whelped my first litter of Labradors in 1981, and have had an average of one litter a year since then. Although I began with an interest in conformation, and have always had a strong interest in a pleasing head, dark brown eyes and a sound body, I have become more interested in the dog's abilities and intelligence. I have also always felt that character is very important. As a result, I have become increasingly active in the obedience area, and particularly in hunting. I was very fortunate to find an excellent couple, Jan and Bill McKee, who have trained and competed with most of my dogs in hunting. They have become good friends, and are mainly responsible for my continued interest in the many facets of the Labrador Retriever.
